Bio
Based in Ontario, Canada, Kate grew up on a steady diet of wild raspberries and Disney fairytales. Though never much of a prose writer, she discovered her ability to tell stories through oil painting, a skill she began teaching herself during the 2020 lockdown. In 2025, she graduated from Queen’s University with a BScH in Chemistry. Now, her path forward is clear: to pursue the field she loves most and reveal her stories one panel at a time.
Artist Statement
Guided by her spirited and at times audacious muses, her own budgies Pepper and Kiwi, Kate explores a world alive with quirks, mischief, and magic. She approaches painting as a form of storytelling: through the chosen objects, composition, and colour, she reveals narratives that feel at once familiar and unknown.
